About the problem and how it is solved

Hunders of thousands of Euros worth agricultural machinery go wrong year by year due to a failed, overheated bearing and cause material damage, and this also has a huge impact on the production rate.

Agrosentinels offers a solution with their innovative Diagnostic Measuring System patent to prevent any damage related to agricultural machinery.

    The Design Process

    During the design process of Agrosentinels application our main focus was to create a user interface, that makes it easily accessible for its users to get information about their agricultural machinery with the help of smart sensors attached to machine and sending signals to the application.

    The key element of the application’s visual appearance is a dark mode with black background combined with brighter, neon like versions of green and red, which help the user to detect the current temperature of the bearing and prevent any kind of damage.

    Hardware tools

    The Agrosentinels Diagnostic Measuring System features an intelligent sensor that persistently observes crucial parts of the machinery. In case it identifies any unusual functioning, it promptly sends an alert and/or automatically intervenes with the machine immediately.

      About Software

      The system oversees the monitoring of bearings in balers, combines, or even other machines. It consists of sensors, specifically the Agrosentinels sensors, that communicate with the central unit via Bluetooth. Additionally, these Agrosentinels sensors send data from the sensors to the cloud-based database through the zTrack-GSM controller using MQTT communication.

      The central unit contains a SIM card and has a mobile internet data connection, further facilitating the sending of data received from the sensors to a real-time database. The system measures temperature and other parameters (such as vibration) on the bearings using these sensors. This measured data is continuously sent to the database.

      Moreover, the results of these measurements, as well as any alerts, are accessible in mobile applications designed for both iOS and Android platforms. If the measured values exceed a set threshold, the system sends an alert to the designated users through these mobile apps.
